For new under 8’s players, we are really excited to announce the start of Hockey Heroes sessions at Redditch Hockey Club for the 2023/24 season.
What is Hockey Heroes?
Hockey Heroes is an 8 week hockey programme aimed at young hockey beginners. The children will develop some physical hockey superpowers such as dribbling, passing and goal scoring, alongside character development superpowers including teamwork, communication, perseverance and respect.
The aim is for children to have lots of fun, experience lots of success, and feel like a hero! This will boost their confidence and ensure a positive experience of physical activity and sport that will have a beneficial effect in the rest of their life.
What do you get?
For a one-off payment of £40 you will get the following:
- A Hockey Heroes equipment pack delivered to your door to keep! This contains two plastic hockey sticks, a ball, a personalised t-shirt and stickers to customise the sticks
- Eight one-hour sessions of Hockey Heroes training, held over an eight week period
- Stickers at the end of every session as a reward for unlocking new superpowers
- Helpful hints and tips so children can practice their hockey and character superpowers at home
- When you book your second course you will get exciting additions like cones and even more stickers for your sticks
When are the sessions?
Our first block of sessions will be starting on 31st January and running each Wednesday for eight weeks from 5-6pm at Redditch Hockey Club astroturf.
